 In 1999 Stephen Hulland and Lee Millward both attended Paulet High School in Burton On Trent with learning that each other could play their respective instruments ,Ste on Drums and Lee on Guitar they decided to start a band. With them having similar musical influences it wasnt before long they became quite a tight unit, so then they had to go onto the next step actually forming a full band. After quite a while searching they found a bassist/vocalist called Tim with this band they had their first gig in 2003 under the name "Gooch". The gig went well with lots of good feedback. Though after a couple of weeks Tims busy education schedual got in the way of further practicing, he decided to leave to band to concentrate on his studies. Ste and Lee decided then to start writing alot of their own material as most of what they had already done were just covers. After a year of hard work a few songs were born "Chad", "Blue Potion", "smile" and "Special design". In 2004 the band decided to change their name to "Aim for the face" With the writing process going well the band started to interview other bassists and vocalists to no avail. Then in January 2005 , Dave Jones a student at Burton On Trent College answered to an advert placed on the Kerrang website. After just one practice it all seemed to gel and "Aim for the face" were born
